Pre-comp Group: $82
Novice Group Novice: $130
Coaches instill the love of swimming into the young swimmers. Swimmers learn the feel of the water and are taught legal strokes and turns. It is very important for the Novice Group swimmers to have fun and play in the water while learning how to control their bodies in such a foreign environment. Coordination in the water is very different from coordination on land. Based upon competence and a recommendation from the Novice Group coach, Novice Group swimmers move to the next level (Age Group I).
Junior Group I: $142
Age Group I swimmers work on stroke technique, drills, and speed. In this group, swimmers learn about competitive swimming. They learn about rest intervals, circle swimming, racing, and working as a team. Coaches focus on perfecting the basics of turns, streamlining, and pulling the water. It’s also important for this group to have fun while doing more difficult swimming. When the Age Group I level swimmers are ready for a heavier workload, they move to the Age Group II level of swimming.
Junior Group II: $152
At this level, the swimmers are more focused and serious. They begin interval training and work on endurance, strength, and speed. They swim for an hour and 30 minutes with more yardage and they work a little harder.
Pre-Senior / Senior: $174
Pre-senior / Senior Groups work at a higher intensity level for two hours. They swim many more yards and work on increasing endurance and strength while maintaining proper stroke mechanics. The basics are still highly emphasized, but are not typically the main focus of each workout. These swimmers are expected to be focused during workouts and think while they are swimming. They learn race strategies and how to control their speed. They learn how to swim fast and how to swim smart.
