Nina Hayes represented Pacific Swimming at the
Pacific Coast All-Star Meet held in Cerritos CA , January 9th and
10th. The top youth swimmers from Pacific
Swimming, Southern
California Swimming, Pacific Northwest , Oregon and
Team
British Columbia were invited to attend
this prestigious meet.
The Pacific Swimming Relay Team of Nina Hayes,
Taylor Young, Hilvy Cheung and Linnea Mack broke the National All
Star Relay Record in the 200 Yard Medley Relay with a time of
1:47.58, breaking the previous record by over 1
second.
The Pacific Swimming Relay Team of Linnea Mack,
Rebecca Baxley, Kelsey Leonard and Nina Hayes earned a
2nd Place in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay with a
time of 1:37.49. This is a new record time for Pacific
Swimming All Star Relay; though they beat the National record as well,
So. Calif. came in with a faster time by .07 seconds.
Nina continues to break her time records and
achieve new personal best times. In the 100 Yard Backstroke
she earned 6th Place and a New Best Time of 59.12. She also
achieved 10th Place in the 50 Yard Freestyle with a time
of 25.04. She achieved 11th Place and a New Best
Time of 1:11.22 in the 100 Yard Breaststroke and 15th
Place and a New Best Time in the 500 Yard Freestyle with a time of
5.19.32.
Nina Hayes is also a recent recipient of a
Certificate from Pacific Swimming for being Ranked 10th
in the Nation in the 100 Yard Backstroke. Way to go,
Nina! Keep up the good work.
