Seahorse Group: 4:45-5:15 pm M-F
Seahorse must be able to complete at least one lap of freestyle or backstroke without fins. Focus is on technique fundamentals, learning four legal strokes, and on teamwork and swimming etiquette. Play is emphasized ans social aspect encouraged.
Green Group: 3:45-4:30 pm M-F
Swimmers can do one lap of each stroke legally, as well as legal turns and finishes. Focus is on creating beautiful, efficient strokes.
Black Group: 3:45-4:45 pm M-F
Fun, social connection and skill building are still emphasized as well as the competetive aspect of swimming. Meets are encouraged. Focus continues to be on technique with the additional component of interval training, and some awareness of times.
Gold Group: 3:45-4:45 pm M-F
Swimmers are expected to attend at least 6 competitions within the calendar year. This is a preparation group for Junior Olympic and Far Western level swimming achievement. Contribution to the team is discussed and team and individual goals are set.
Junior I Group: 4:45-6:15 pm M-F
Swimmers are increasing amount of yardage swum. Conditioning is emphasized along with efficiency. Longer range goals are discussed.
Junior II Group: 4:45-6:30 pm M-F
Same as Junior Age 1, but for more committed swimmers who will soon be making the step to the Senior Group. These swimmers are committed to swimming 6 days a week.
Senior Group: 3:45-6:30 pm M-F, 5:30:6:45 am Tu-Thu, & 7-8:30AM Sat
Introduction to aerobic and anaerobic energy level training, speed, endurance, and dryland training. Focus on achieving and competing in statewide, nation, and international USA Swimming meets. Practices 2.5 hours, 6 days/ week. Up to 8 practices per week.
